A modern house for two artists owners outside of beautiful Black Mountain, NC this house features a green roof, rain water harvesting, and super energy efficiency. The interior finishes are simple and straightforward materials such as plywood and galvanized tin. The design responds to its' extraordinary 65 acre site by positioning a large covered porch to the west to open to the views and to shelter the house and its' occupants from the hot afternoon sun.
