| Hawaiian Community Church This simple design was an submission to a competition for a community center and non-denominational worship space in rural Oahu, Hawaii. The design response is the result of a careful study of indigenous Hawaiian cultural practices and faith traditions. The gathering space envisions a room open to the gardens of the incredible native flora of the site. The support spaces feature carefully placed windows that focus the users' attention onto the ceremonial grounds to one side and the village center to the other. |

| Biltmore Station Biltmore Station is an urban planning exercise that attempts to best position Asheville's future Amtrak station while taking best advantage of a great many of the areas' existing mill and storage buildings. By carefully removing some of the more marginal structures and strategically placing new constructions the design makes best use of the community's resource investment in this rapidly transforming part of town. The very first imperative of sustainable design and of environmentally sensitive development is to make best use of what is already there. |

| Boston Transit Authority Bus Stop This project was a response to a competition to design a passenger shelter for bus riders of the Boston Transit Authority. The design is envisioned to fit in various locations in metropolitan Boston, Massachusetts and to be economical to construct and maintain. This entry received Commendations by the jury and is testimony to this firms' commitment to thoughtful design for all members of our community and to green design, both architectural and civic. |
